A thrilling occult detective yarn by Otis Johnson.

Praise for Moon In Our Eyes:

I really enjoyed this tale not only because I love reading and collecting occult detective stuff but also because this one is an ably spun tale that stands on its own. It’s gripping and has an unusual PI who is intelligent and strong. And what’s more: I met an author previously unknown to me that’s worth meeting. Oh yes, I wish he wrote another story like this one, a novel perhaps. Thank you.

I really liked the dialogue in this short story.

5.0 out of 5 stars — Quick and engaging stories

I love the varied stories told by each writer. It has everything from sentient AI to a dreary vision of our future based on human nature. I’ve read three of the stories to date, this is perfect for poolside reading.
By far my favorite has been Daisho by Otis Johnson. The commentary between the two main characters is engaging and flirtatious. A glimpse at a seedy humanity enmeshed in a high-tech monetized future with a dash of humor thrown in.
I’m looking forward to picking up more of these.

5.0 out of 5 stars  — Guns go click and violent chicks

Sometimes you read a story and you can just tell the breadth of knowledge an author has for a subject.
Daisho was a treat for that. You can just sense just how much of a fan Otis Johnson is of cyberpunk and sci-fi. Reading it reminded me of role-playing Cyberpunk 2020 with my best friend ages ago.
A quick fast and great ride of a story.
Punches quick and to the point.
I read it twice, once to myself and then to my girlfriend. She’s not even a fan of scifi and she dug it!
Good times!

5.0 out of 5 stars — Daisho by Otis Johnson wins it all

I don’t know how I can give a review without spoiling the story completely for you guys, you just have to read it. Lots of great stories in this collection, but Daisho is definitely the stand out for me!
